Profielnorm breaks ground on new 5,000m2 manufacturing facility in Plainwell, Michigan

Plainwell, Michigan – 7 May 2025 – Profielnorm, a leading designer, manufacturer, and installer of mezzanines made of cold-formed beams, is proud to announce the commencement of construction on its new 5,000-square-metre production facility in Plainwell, Michigan. This major development represents a key step in the company’s U.S. growth strategy, aimed at delivering faster, more efficient service with localised expertise to customers nationwide.

Since establishing operations in the U.S. in early 2023, Profielnorm USA has operated a commercial office in Kalamazoo. The company quickly gained momentum, shipping more than 100 containers of its signature cold-formed mezzanines to the U.S. in 2024 alone. The new Plainwell manufacturing plant is set to significantly boost production capacity while reducing lead times by bringing manufacturing closer to its America customer base.

Site preparation is already in progress, with construction equipment mobilised at the Plainwell location. The factory is projected to be fully operational by mid-2026, creating new job opportunities and building a dedicated local team for production and installation services.

PRN Group currently operates two factories in the Netherlands (Profielnorm) and one in the United Kingdom (John Scott Works), with a long-established sales and engineering hub in Poland. The Plainwell facility will be the company’s first production centre in the United States, strengthening its global manufacturing network.
