PRN Group celebrates opening of Profielnorm USA

Profielnorm has officially opened its new manufacturing facility in Plainwell, Michigan, marking a significant development in the continued growth of PRN Group within the United States.

The opening ceremony took place on Tuesday, 21 April, marking the completion of the manufacturing facility, which has been under development since construction began last year. With production now underway, the new site represents a significant investment in local manufacturing capabilities and enhanced customer support across the United States.

Although further work and expansion within the facility will continue over the coming months, operations are already active and the foundations are firmly in place for future growth.

Celebrating an important milestone

To mark the occasion, colleagues, partners, local representatives, and international guests gathered in Michigan to celebrate this special occasion together. Colleagues from PRN Group locations in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Poland joined via live broadcast, highlighting the strong international cooperation and shared commitment across the group.

The opening concluded with a ceremonial ribbon cutting by Jos Schot, Owner of PRN Group, together with Eric Strating, officially opening the new Profielnorm USA facility.

A day to celebrate

Following the official opening ceremony, the celebrations continued with a full programme of events for guests and partners. After an extensive lunch, attendees travelled to the well-known Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners. With a collection of more than 300 classic automobiles and motorcycles, the museum offered a unique setting for the afternoon’s activities, both indoors and outdoors. Guests also had the opportunity to enjoy rides in a selection of vintage cars alongside experienced drivers. The day concluded with a shared evening dinner, providing an opportunity to reflect on the occasion and celebrate this important milestone together.

Supporting customers locally across the US

The new Michigan facility strengthens Profielnorm USA’s ability to support customers throughout the United States with locally manufactured mezzanine floor solutions. By establishing production within the US market, the business is able to improve lead times, increase flexibility, and work more closely with customers on projects across the country. Demand for mezzanine flooring and warehouse solutions continues to grow across the United States, and the investment in local manufacturing will help ensure Profielnorm USA is well positioned to support future growth.

The first production machines at the site are already fully operational, while the local team continues to undergo training to ensure all manufacturing processes meet the quality standards associated with PRN Group. From its new base in Michigan, Profielnorm USA now designs, manufactures, and installs mezzanine floor systems for customers in all states, combining local production capabilities with the established expertise and engineering standards of the wider PRN Group.

Continuing international growth

The opening of Profielnorm USA marks another significant milestone in the international expansion of PRN Group.
