John Scott Works manufactures, designs, and installs mezzanine floors. We are based in Dudley West Midlands and are part of the PRN Group established in 1997, which is a family owned and operated business. The founding principles and the customer focus approach of Jos Schot (CEO) have made us one of the leading mezzanine manufacturers in Europe. With a philosophy of producing close to our market John Scott Works was established within the heart of the black country.

To support this vision, we are looking for enthusiastic partners to join us on our journey.

Sales Support Role:

Predominantly working closely with two of the area sales managers to build a rapport with their customers and to assist with the quotations needed. Quotations are made mainly from our in-house configurator; however, training will be needed to use our calculation package for accurate and detailed quotations.

Once orders are secured, generation of internal project numbers, excels and order confirmations will need to be made and relevant paperwork sent through to the customer or internal departments. The Sales Support employee is responsible for accurate order processing. Live projects are monitored up to the point of approval of the design, both on cost and timing.

A proactive attitude towards achieving the objectives of the sales department is required. This includes response times, order conversion rates, debt control, and accurate handover.

Able to work well under pressure and to multi-task effectively. Give accurate times as to when tasks will be completed as both customers and sales will rely on this. Flexibility within the sales department to assist when needed, due to rapidly growing company demands.

Following up on ready to expire leads and sending information back through to sales. Assisting the area sales managers in written and verbal communication with customers.

Assisting with the writing and monthly updates for the website, LinkedIn, and monthly newsletter to customers.

Over time more complex quotations will be made calculating racking and specific loads coming onto the floor. Product knowledge must be developed to advise customers on adequate solutions.

Day-Day Activities:

  •   Updating internal ERP system with quote requests
  •   Speaking with customers
  •   Generating and sending quotations to customers
  •   Liaising with sales and giving accurate times for when quotes will be made
  •   Answering the telephone
  •   Working on marketing material and desk research

Rate of Pay:

  •   £18,000.00 per Anum

Working with us.

The group has been built and founded on Christian principles which should be respected by all staff. Sunday working will never be required.
